45 years of crafting
Metric & Moss run by Mr. Bhat, who in the early 1980s founded JAS, the parent company of Metric & Moss, in their garage in Chennai. Mr. Bhat’s journey began with a vision: to ingrain global artisans & cultures into furniture designs. Guided by the mastery of wood-work and inspired by the vibrant hues of nature & cultures, he reimagined furniture as an expression of art. For over four decades JAS, the parent company of Metric & Moss, has continued since then to reinvent traditional furniture style, blending cultural inspirations with modern art to create audacious designs intended to represent upscale lifestyle.

Our Masterpieces require at least 150 hours from conception to completion for each particular piece. Limited in number, these one-of-a-kind masterpieces are unveiled once a year.
